BXB has secured the 10 acre Bridge Mills site in Tintwistle for re-development. The former landfill site has previously benefitted from planning permission for residential development, however the site has failed to come forward for development. Gary Goodman, director of BXB said ‘this site has failed to come forward for development and make a positive contribution to local community due to the complex remedial and engineering constraints facing the site. However, we believe that BXB can present a viable remedial and technical strategy to the local planning authority that will enable clean residential land to be offered to the house building sector and facilitate the delivery of much needed new family housing in this area. Work on our planning application will commence shortly.’
